Michael's Story
Michael Cuccione was born January 5, 1985 in Bumaby, BC, Canada. Until his time of departure, Michael was living in Coquitlam, BC.
Michael lived his entire life to please others.
Michael was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disese in 1994, when he was just 9 years old.
He then battled cancer and went through extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment and in August 1996, he could officially say that he had been cancer free for a year.

Michael spent his WAY TOO SHORT time on this planet educating people about Hodgkin's Disease, about cancer. He used his love of music, his outgoing personality and his natural charisma to help fight this horrible illness. He released a CD though the
Michael Cuccione Foundation and all of the proceeds went to find a cure.
Michael and his grandmother, wrote a book,
"There Are Survivors: The Michael Cuccione Story",
which I recommend that you all go out and buy.
It will educate you on Michael's extraordinary life and the work that he's done in his 16 years on this Earth.

Michael will be greatly missed by Evan, Alex, Noah, Kevin, their families, his friends, his family and his huge global fanbase.
Michael was survived by his parents, Gloria and Domenic and his siblings,
Sohpia, 18 and Steven 12.

Here's an official statement from Michael's Management.
(Thank You MTV Online)

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing away of Michael Cuccione, the young star of MTV's "2Gether" series.
Michael fought a courageous battle with collapsed lungs complicated by pneumonia. As in the past, when he successfully warded off cancer, he remained a positive force to the end.
Michael will be rememberd as the recipient of the BCTV / Dairy Queen's Saturday's Child Award honouring a young person who is a positive role model for other children and makes a meaningful contribution to society. His annual fundraisers held in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto have raised half a million dollars to help in the battle against childhood cancer and to improve the lives of cancer patients.
Michael will also be remembered for his talent, his gifts as a singer, musician, songwriter, and actor, but most of all for his tremendous will to live and his infectious smile. His life was short but very rich and we are proud to have known him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Michael Cuccione Foundation for Cancer Research would be greatly appreciated so that Michael's dream never dies:
